Offsite backups

Your hosting insurance policy

Many web hosting companies store backups of your website on the same server as the website itself. Should the server experience a catastrophic failure you could not only lose your website, you may also lose the only backup!

As always, we decided to go one better. Not only do we store daily backups on the same server for quick access and convenience, but we also store a weekly backup of your website on a different server, in a different datacentre, in a different country.

Note: For your own safety and peace of mind we recommend all customers keep their own local copies of website files, databases, scripts and email. We're happy to show you how to take your own regular backups if you're unsure.
